Great confidence boosting game for the Tigers: we won 58-43 against the Fighting Engineers.

No-one cares about Basketball? :( I'm particularly interested in people's takes on the white-balance-- it was quite a pain to get it to where it is.

Im a novice when it comes to white balance, so I can't ofer you any advice on that subject. Howerver, your shots look in focus and the colors look good.

You captured some great expressions. The white balance looks all right. Did you shoot in RAW? I tried shooting in JPEG the other night with the school's XT and had some success using the tungsten WB setting.

And did you shoot this in Terre Haute? I'm about 25minutes from Rose Hulman.

This was RAW, I'd like to transfer over to JPEG for ease-- I want to be able to just output photos right to where they need to be for the page editors, rather than worrying about conversion, etc. However, we have Sodium Vapor lights combined with a big yellow curtain that reflects yellow cast all over everything :(.

This was in Greencastle IN-- it's like, 40 minutes from Terre Haute, I think, but I've only made the trip once.

Greencastle really isn't far away. You should try the tungsten setting. I shot a game in JPEG the other night in the yellowest gym you ever saw *(i.e. in Casey, IL) and the images looked all right when I set WB to tungsten. I'd still rather shoot in RAW, though. The bit depth is greater, and batch converting only takes a few minutes.

The WB seems pretty good....it always amazes me that shooting from the same place you will get different colored BG's and wood floors, even after you correct the WB

SHoot RAW...no pain there...My workflow decreased after I started using RAW.

Cheers,
