Sure it isn't of blazing Hockey action you are all used to but the emotion says it all..

The goalie of this U-12 girls team was just pulled with about 4 min left in the game for an extra attacker.

I don't know why (down by 3) but Im not the coach.

Had to get this shot as he was explaining to her how good of a job she was doing and wasn't getting much support from their D.

Enjoy, others coming tonight after Im done sifting through them!

Nice shot and definitely a keeper.

This image really hits home as it shows just how much young players look up to their coaches.

btw: the image is very nice technically as well :)

Well guys thanks. I am going to have this photo printed and use it in a portfolio I am putting together for the Madison Capitols.

While this one turned out nice, there wasn't much elsewise that came from that specific game. You would have to put into one of those fustercluck games.

There was no real flow, alot of my shots either turned out just a little blurred or anything of worth had someone planted right in the middle blocking the money shots.

David, after reading extensively your post about the situations you were running into with the 20D, I have been able to persuade the wife into us taking out a loan. We are going to purchase (2) MK II N cameras and acouple lenses so the both of us can keep shooting at each game.

Now the even better part. After showing acouple of shots to the heads of the two teams I am in the process of putting together some of our best to date photos. If everything works out looks like we will be the specific photogs for the Madison Capitols. Im not holding my breath because we have to figure out what costs will be. But if everything goes well this might become our winter season income we have been lusting for.

Hope it all goes well...Im off to the Business portion of the page to start asking questions of what we need to do...

Oh and yes I will still post some more keepers, I have over 600 photos to look at from 4 games. One game was added extra at the last minute. Thats the perks of shooting for the team that own's the rink!

One critique: It appears to be a tad underexposed...

I do love the expression though...

Nice shot. It's a little flat for contrast and "pop", but it's still a nice shot. Btw, to your comment about not being sure why he pulled the goalie when they were down by 3, sometimes coaches use those opportunities to get real-time practice in those situations ... that and there's always a chance they could have scored 3 :D

Ross,

I've edited your pic slightly, see if you prefer this as an improvement. I've cropped slightly tighter so the eye falls on a point of power, then in PS I've just tweaked the levels, contrast, noiseware and sharpened.

Finally I burned the edges a little to draw your eye onto the girl. Good shot though.

Let me know what you think.

Right now I think Im going to cry...:(

My Mac at this current state and time is having hardrive issues...and I mean severe issues.

That photo of the girl goalie and about 400 more from this whole weekends shots are on there.

I am attempting to repair my hardrive with out losing the files.

I have a backup hardrive that I saved the last two weekends files from but I was in the process of saving these to it this morning.

Please pray deeply for me as I am sitting here doing everything I can to get this to work...

Details later.....

Ok well first things first. I think I was able to recover all the photos. I just need to figure it out tomorrow. Had to officiate 3 games tonight so didn't have much time.

Second, Scott it looks great. I was lucky and I was able to recover that shot. Thanks as I do like the way you played with it.

Now Im going to go pass out as my evening is finally over....
