Playing with my 300D...

I was in a pub this evening, and wanted to play a little with my new 300D. Here's the result. What guys do you think? Can I use this one in a brandy-advert?

Yes - use photoshop to add lots of gaussian blur and claim that this is your view after 6 or 7 brandies :D 2 or 3 if its a strong brandy :)

Seriously its not a bad shot - especially for a shot in the pub. I like the warm colours and the green bottle. the 300D colour rendition is very good isn't it.

There is a highlight in the top left that I would clone out as well as a bit of an ashtray to the left of the glass.

The base of the glass is out of focus - not necessarily a problem but it may not be to everyone's taste.

the unfortunate fingerprints on the glass cause some smearing of the image transmitted through the liquid. for a real advert I would be real anal about stray stuff like that plus what Mark noted above.

otherwise, I think that's very cool. now I wanna go to a bar and take pictures...

Yes, the photo needs a lot of photoshoping, before using it in an ad, I know that. But the photo have become nice, shooting just like that...
I'm very happy with the 300D. I switched to DSLR from a PowerShot S45 that was a very good point-and-shoot camera, but DSLRs are just in a different level.
