External accessories for SD 800 IS (Ixus 850)

I just bought the sd800 is a few weeks ago. It's my first camera. do small compact digi cams have external accessories? flash, lens, etc?

What accessories do I need besides bigger sd card and extra battery?

I think it all depends on what you want to do, as to how expensive your hobby will be. I have known people who's hobby seemed to be collecting cameras and accessories more so than actually taking pictures. On the other side of the coin, I have known those who took one camera body with one standard lens, and enjoyed themselve to no end. You are right in waiting to master the camera, before dropping a bundle on gadgets.
