Hey! Born and raised in DA Parish, but lived all over Orleans and Jefferson. Presently in LaPlace now. My mom and most of my sister still lived down in St. Bernard for the storm, but have since moved.

I'm a photo-noob, so if any locals want to gtg and shoot some stuff in or around the city, let me know. I could use the learning experience.

Thanks. If by the storm you are refering to katrina/rita it is in great shape, as those pictures are from mid January, 2008. I will agree that LFP is my favorite place to go camping that I have been to while living here.

I've had the pleasure of taking ALL of my furniture out of my living room, lining it completely with white sheets and pouring 4 gallons of fake blood over 4 guys for a shoot before. Now THAT is fun stuff!

OH hell ya!! Rocky's is better than it was before....and cleaner. lol. AND there is a bar! My wife's family is good friends with them. Last time we were there Rocky was experimenting shots on us...NOT good on a full stomach of their food. The macaroni and the amount they give is unreal.

I'm leaving Thursday for 2 weeks in Arizona. Phoenix and Sedona...sooo..see ya'll end of July early August.

I'm fine with that, I'd actually like to venture out into Da Parish again. I haven't been in about a year or so and I'd like to check up on the construction/destruction. Let's shoot for when Flip gets back, I'm leaving for Destin this weekend for a week myself :D

Sounds like a plan to me. I'm headin' to Gulf Shores myself Friday morning for a couple of days, and just got back from a two week road trip to Wyoming. At the rate we're going, looks like we've got a better chance at gettin together on the road somewhere. :lol:

No Fay hit Florida. She may be coming west our way to dump some rain toward the weekend. I have to keep up with the weather. I have two young children and two businesses to take care of. I get my info from the net. There are very few meteorologists on the news that I watch to get my information.

yeah, looks like (hoping) it's just a bunch of rain. I hear ya...we lost TONS of laboratory equipment from Katrina and was the 5th time we got flooded out in Elmwood! So we got smart and bought some property on much higher ground!
My house was safe though!!!

I just turned 18. I've been looking into buying a camera for almost two years. I just graduated from high school and my dad helped me pay for an XTi as a gift.

Last week I was in Grand Isle and got to use my new camera for the first time...
