I got a family shoot this week, and its my first proper one. Can anyone please give me some advice? I know all but 2 of them, so it should be fun anyway. Its a family of 5. I would of done it before, but the weather has stopped us from going out. Im thinking we will go to the park, or over to the beach. Or both, im not quite sure. Kit can be seen in sig. Thanks all.

Some quick tips:
- For lighting, hope for overcast conditions, or use late afternoon light to reduce contrast problems. Watch for shadows in all your subjects...use fill flash if necessary. If you can have them facing a setting sun, it will be great.
- Use a tripod
- Try to line up the family members onto the same (but no more than 2) focal plane.
- Take the shot after the main shot...their expressions will be more relaxed in this somewhat candid mode...the aftershot often turns out to be the best photo, esp. if you have been joking around with them.
- If going to the beach, protect your camera from blowing sand!
