Ok, need help on my workflow to save me time. I am very new to PS so please be kind, my version is PS CS.

I shoot in raw, convert in PS CS, then usually sharpen, crop and save to 16 bit Tiff. My problem is if I crop in 8X10 and get 4X6 prints made the crop is off. So last night I cropped for 4X6 how will this work if I decide to go 5X7, or larger. Forgive me if I am asking a stupid question but my full time job (automobile finance) keeps me busy for 60hrs a week so want to keep my processing time at night to a minimum.

Ah, the pain cropping for neck of print sizes.

Save the original.

Crop to desired print aspect ratio. Save this as another file. :)

You could save some masks for each print size in different layers, thus keeping everything in one file, ensuring the same exact image gets printed at varying sizes. So select for 5x7, save that as a mask. Select for 8x10, save as a mask. In a year or two all you need to do it select the mask and you get the desired print. You may want to save as PSD when doing this - TIFF will get huge.

You might want to take a look at JPEGcrops -- lossless cropping for any size (aspect) It preserves your original and saves the cropped pic under new name.
