Hi there,

I've just bought a SD 600. My win XP Pro recongnizes the cam, the sd600 icon appears in Windows Explorer, I can browse into SD600 Directory and see the pictures, but it does not copy & paste for my HD !!

I select the pictures frrom sd600 in windows explorer (ctrl+c) and then try to paste in my HD folder (ctrl+v).

Nothing hapens....

I have a HP DV2000t notebook with a multi-card reader. I can still take the card off my cam and copy the .JPEG to my HD. But I would like to really solve the problem with the usb cable.

Cheers from Brazil.

think of it this way, that notebook card reader is much faster. while most digicams transfer less than a file a second, that card reader will be able to do between 2 and 5 a second (depends on reader model and card model). while it seems that it'll take longer taking out the card and putting it into the reader, it's actually much faster

Really depends on the card and card reader. For me, the USB connection is much faster and I have an integrated card reader on my machine. I don't really care to figure out why since the extra minute it takes me to download my photos are negligible.

As for the not downloading problem, the way I normally get around that is to right mouse click on the SD600 drive icon (if its there) and choose autoplay, it launches the windows download program and off I go. I seems weird that you can't copy off of it though.
