I am sorry if this question has been asked a hundred times. I searched this forum but did not find the threads I was looking for.

Until now, I have used a G3. With it I have been able to produce some very nice quality 11x14 photos which I matt and sell. If I move up to the Drebel, how much would I be able to increase my picture size and still keep quality. I realize that quality is a matter of taste. To simplify, to what size can I enlarge a Drebel image and still keep the average person impressed with the quality. (Impressed enough to buy.)

All other factors being equal, you ought to be able to print at least one size larger (e.g. 16x20).

If you do some very careful interpolation and then refinement, you ought to be able to print at least one or two sizes upward from there, but that takes extra time.

Yes, it has been asked many times before.....

So here I go again with my link. Look at this and be impressed. Posters made with a D30, which only has 3 megapixels, even less than your G3: http://www.nyphotographics.com/blowupsample.htm

You can download the Photoshop actions they use to make these here: http://www.nyphotographics.com/ftppage.htm
