Finally i have something to post in this section. I've asked some of you for advice, and seen so much work that i've been absolutely blown away by.

Thank you to everyone who's patiently read through my questions, and more so to those who kindly offered some direction.

This is my first live gig (that had lights!) and im pleased with them for a first outing.

The first image was a bit of an experiment. No noise reduction on this one.

And here's a third, again, just experimenting with a bit of zoom burst.

Used the Sigma on these by the way.

I would really like to have seen that first one without the guy in the foreground ... is that a "zoomer w/shutter drag?" Any idea of the shutter speed? The last one is sorta interesting, too.

The last one looks like the kind of image that a band like this would love. I assume they didn't mind you were using flash.

First and last are a bit too much for me. I think the effect would be better if more subtle.
I agree with Dwight about the guy in the foreground, allthough I didn't see him the first time I looked ;)
Pity the second is overexposed. Framing is nice there.

Dwight - I agree, but, i didnt actually think i'd get anything at all from this gig. Call it paranoia or a lack of confidence. I basically had to try all i know in editing software to get the first shot like that. It was around a second at 1600 for that shot. And yes, zoom with shutter drag - bring on the cliché rock shot! ;) Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Bacchanal - Thanks very much for your comment, i'm sending the shots to the guys tomorrow to see what they think.

René - The second shot looking overexposed is maybe due to me getting carried away in my RAW software. But that said, its very possible it's just badly exposed :D

In all, im pretty happy with them but the more i look, the more i can see what id have changed (my framing leaves alot to be desired). First gig under my belt! Fingers crossed i can apply what i learned here to the next one!
