my new 488rc2 is stinky?!
the grease/oil smells bad lol:lol:any one else notice this?:D

I thought your 488rc2 was stinky too. :lol:

maybe just cosmolene? (spelling) my 3047 had a pretty nasty layer on it...the same stuff new firearms have. it cleaned up fine with some WD-40.

how did u clean it up? just spray it on the ball?

Do not spray anything on the ball. The manufacturer's pamphlet says very specifically that no lubricant should be applied to the ball.

I don't know how Skip does it, but I swear he's on top of everything!
