I've never shot newborns before, usually when I shoot people/kids/pets I have my background and bounce my 430ex off of a reflector on my side or above or whatever.
I have a newborn shoot this weekend and I was thinking of doing the same thing. What do you think? I have a few small soft boxes, but they never seem to give off enough light for me. Maybe a combo of bounced flash and the soft box? I'm going to play with a set up this afternoon, but I wanted some input.
