im pretty sure youve just asked in another post what the best settings for a portrait shot are. Are you sure you need anone to tell you? ;)
Nice series!

Well heck, if using that mode got you these, imagine what you can do when you go fully manual. These are excellent. Really like the BW's and the saturated color ones. Did you apply any actions to these, like urban acid?

Great shots! Mine don't come out like that! What sort of PP did you do to them?

and, and, what did you use for lighting?

Lighting I used a desklamp with a 40 watt soft bulb in it.
In that 1st BW shot there was a handy little wall lamp right above them that was providing some great light so I used that.
I really need to get the hang of full manual.
I did some shoots on the shutter priority mode, but I still ended up with more than a handful of shots that were completly underexposed and pixels were just destroyed.
I did apply a BW action on the BW photo but most of these were just a lot of playing with hue/saturation and brightness/contrast and of course editing the eyes, teeth, skin etc.

Great shots, I don't think I've ever used the portrait setting, might have to give it a go! The lighting looks amazing I thought you used soft boxes or something. Well done.

wait...wait...wait...
A desk lamp and on program mode? These are brilliant! Excellent in every way! To think, I'm sittin here still strugling to understand and become comfortable in full manual mode!!! I think I might just have to take a step back from full manual mode. Again, excellent work. Kudos...just kudos...

Awesome. It would be nice to get one or two shots this good but you got a whole series.

I"m really trying to shoot as much as possible in Manual so that I can learn some better effects through aperture and shutter settings, but I have a ways to go still.
I only hope that this shoot wasn't a fluke lol !! I hope my shoot Saturday comes out as good!!!
I'll post them up if they're decent!
Thank you very much for the feedback. I appreciate it!!! :D
