Hi everyone, we're starting a new photo journal with a focus on social and humanitarian causes. The whole structure is that we will be accepting photo essay submissions from the general public. We know that there are tons of people out there interested in photography, and we're trying to take advantage of that by putting your photography skills to good work in order to help those in need. A photo is worth a thousand words, as they say, and a good photo essay can convince others to help support a cause in need. So, if you have a cause and a camera, please check out our website: http://www.collectivelens.com

Here is our official statement:

Collective Lens will be accepting photographic essay submissions March 15th through April 16th, 2007.

Collective Lens is an online publication that promotes awareness and education of both domestic and international humanitarian needs through photography and visual media.

Photographic essays should include 8 to 15 photos that depict a social or humanitarian concern relevant to today's society. Accepted essays will serve as an educational tool to intrigue the public and encourage individuals to become involved. Amateur photographers are encouraged to submit. Please visit us at www.collectivelens.com (http://www.collectivelens.com) or email info (at) collectivelens (dot) com for more details.

Thanks
