Bridal expo list emailing completed..Whew

ok..it's done, It took all day, but I did it...now some are coming back as non emails, but that is ok...expected that...and now I will wait to see what it can do for me.

I talked to a friend tonight who said NOTHING, compares to a verbal contact, so I may try calling a few next week..but not all..no way could I do that

My friend owns a mortgage company and he hired a girl to cold call for him..I may ask him about her and how much he paid and see what we can do.

of course I will keep you informed...

You can expect a 1% to 2% return from a normal direct mail program, with email it could be less or more depending on the offer. But think about it like this if you sent out 1,000 to a directly targeted audience like this if you get 10-20 reponses you are doing great. And if you can book half of those even better. Also I would resend the list next week.

aol shut me off last night because of bulk mailing..but I got that all worked out now..and have been labled so I can bulk mail with no problems

My website is getting alot of hits again...

The sitting game is the hardest..but I have a few pages to redo on my asuka book, to resubmit, so I can work on that...

Be sure to take those names off your list. What you are doing is not spam. I hate spam. These people put their email on the bridal show list. What you are doing is providing them with more information, which is why they went to the show in the 1st place..to get information. Getting weddings like this is a numbers game and the fact that you see an increase in web traffic is Great, you succeded in getting noticed. The offer you made got their attention, now if you have everything else ready to go and can convert those into bookings you can look foreword to a busy Summer!

I am using the marker system...ahahha..pink for this, yellow for that, blue for....

yes, I am taking them off..and I also removed the ones getting married from now till May, since those should have photography covered, but they at least got one email from me..

In a week, I will send out another email to the remaing...I am down to 250.

I got three calls today, booking 1, prospecing another...

This is good.

I hate the marketing part, but until I get built up, I have to push myself out there...

I had a good experience at the exp also. I got 3 confirmed bookings within a week :) I'm hoping to get more as time passes.

I got more with the follow up, not sure if the sponsers did that for you, did you run a raffle of anything to get more info? I made flyers and send them, and then I did the email thing last week, and got another booking.

It was interesting for me to see what worked and what did not. Next year I will be more versed and better undersand the expo process...

Plus I have more time to prepare...better handouts...

Thinking of either putting stuff into bags, or just one page flyer...not sure yet..
