Advice needed!!

Hi Guys, I'm kinda new to photography. I have a few graphics projects coming up and I've decided it would be best to start taking my own photos. I need advice on the best camera to buy for face close-ups. I need great definition, especially in reflections in the eyes but my budget is around 800euros for a camera and lens. Someone suggested using 'macro' photography but I'm afraid I'm so new to this I don't even really understand the terms. If anyone can suggest a good camera/lens combination, proper techniques or even suggest what to steer clear of I'd be very grateful. Many thanks.

I'm not sure you'll get many responses here in the People section. You may want to post in Equipment and/or Lenses. You may want to state what the close-up face portraits will be used for so you can get a more detailed response. Is it a close up of the whole face? or parts? Eye? Nose? Mouth? etc.
