Hi all,

I currently carry my lenses around using a backpack and an accessory pack. I find that to somewhat limiting, especially if you want to change lenses during the ceremony, etc. I don't change my lenses that often, but for those one shots where I'd like to have a different lens, I'd like to be able to do it quickly and easily.

Currently, I have to drop my backpack, open it and swap lenses. It's time consuming and I am considering other options (belts, etc). I would like to have your feedback on this subject and to see how you handle having a few lenses at hand. Do you have any product you would recommend?

Thanks!

you can get lens belts, there more for people who shoot rock climbing or whatever but if you really need one

Ann and I prefer to have a body on each lens we will be using regularly - don't really want to be switching lenses too much, it's a hassle and it takes up time when there's plenty else to be doing. So we tend to carry everything in Lowepro backpacks, and just put them down somewhere handy (and reasonably safe). We've been shooting with 3 bodies in total last year, but currently down to 2 while we decide which new ones to add before our weddings for 2007 kick in ...ideally I'd like to add a 5D and a 1Dmklln, but we may settle for more 30D/20D depending on what Canon announces.

this little guy upfront from lowepro, the sideline shooter I think its called

holds 3 lenses, is basically a fanny pack so its thinner and lighter than a full photo belt system. Has 2 zippers, one on the side, one on top, so you can leave the side one closed, while the top one open and pull the lenses straight up.

When I've unpacked my bag, I have one lens on each camera (two bodies so far) and the speciality lenses are in the bag until I feel I need it, then I ask my donkey (hubby) to grab it for me. I also have a pocketbook with CF cards on my body at all times.

I am a "one lens" shooter at present...it has got me thus far...but would like the luxury of another...*sigh* one day.

Thanks all for your inputs! I forgot to add that I do have two bodies, one with the 17-55 f/2.8 IS, the other with the 70-200 f/2.8 IS. By other lenses, I mean my 50mm f/1.4 (sometimes nice in very low light situations) and my 10-22mm (nice to get a big picture of the ceremony site, the reception, etc.

I have two bodies, I rarely need more than two lenses available at a time. I have a big backpack which I leave somewhere near me. Sometimes I take an assistant especially to carry my bag, drive me around, etc.
