I have had one query about translating EE to different languages. It is relatively easy to do, but a bit time-consuming so before I put it onto my priority todo list I'd like to know does any of you really need to have EE speak your own language?
Translation would work so that you have an include file full of variables and EE would change language based on what include file is selected in settings.

(that means "Finnish would be cool" in english)
Yep!
How to do it? Think about this:
1. With method one it's possible to change the language any time during browsing, and each language would have _all_ texts translated.
2. With method two it is possible to change language, but all texts (info, location, description, meta, header) are left into one default language.
Reason I'd like to know which to do, is that if method 1 is used, and you put no effort in translating texts, it is no use doing such a complex system (people would get the default language, so to visitors it would not matter). Method 1 means also that input interface will have more complex text inputs, as you'd have to choose a language before inputting it. Also, locations should be translated, too, for complete translation.
With method 2 the input system would stay the same, but then you'd keep all the text, locations and headers in one language, and only used interface is translated - could look odd to some.
Method 2 is quite fast to do and crude, but method 1 is very sophisticated, provided that you have time to translate all data. Method 2 takes a lot of time to program (I have to invent clever ways to make forms multilanguage, and add new language tables into database) but in my opinion could be worth the effort.
In any case, I will not translate input interfaces. Manuals could be written in several languages, of course.
Any comments?

I would prefer the number 1 option.
