Nice shot John, it does seem a touch overexposed to me. I like the colors but what have liked to see a wider angle and a few more shots to get a better idea of the event.

I also have to ask a dumb question, mainly since Dwight beat me over the head with my photo gear in my signature. What the heck is your fishing gear and gun stuff doing in your signature?

If it is the white of his shirt that makes it look overexposed, than it isn't as big an issue at all...the material for the shirt is thick/thin and of a non sheen type...It's slightly off white and lays flat... there are no highlights or folds in it to be had... However, if it's skin tones you refer too, than that very possibly is true....Good eye...

This picture was taken in the late afternoon, after the sun had just crossed over to the side of the building... This was only my 400th+ shot with the new DSLR camera, and getting the correct settings was still an issue...

I'll attach another photo of a couple of DJ's at the party, later...They had a professional photog. there running around with a flash camera... So I cut it short right after he started only only ended up with a few keepers.

RE: the signature stuff...Mr. "M" gave me the "once over", a few times too.
Since there were no shows for me to shoot, boredom took over, and I followed with what some of the posters in Nature and Animals, listed in their signatures...It's just a form of reminder, to use the gear...

But now, that I've gotten over my boredom, and I'll gladly remove this "other hobby stuff" from my signature...No problem... :p   :D

The skin and the building looked a touch overexposed to me.....and you need to learn one thing...don't base very many of your decisions on my thoughts! You might leave the gun info in there just in case someone gets rude.!:D

Than I messed up in post processing...the photo was originally flat, because it was taken in the shade...I worked the colors up in levels and need to re do the same with the black and white...

I did use the dropper for sampling black and then white for contrasting and eventual gray zone balance...I'll try to re do it and post again later...

Did you check The main man's posting?...Pekka has an entire double set of heavy metal rockers jammin' all over the place on a thread right next to this one...

PM me this weekend, bring me up to date with what's happenin'...
