GN for 430ex

I have researched and everything, and it says that the GN for the 430 is 141'. But, when i put it on my 30D at 105mm it said that it was good for 60ft. The iso was 100 and i dont know why it wasnt 141'? Would the shutter speed and aperture effect this? Thanks

The aperture and ISO setting will affect the distance range, not the shutter speed. Also note that the flash has different guide numbers at each zoom setting.
