Hi all,

I'm going to be working in Norwich for the next three weeks or so and am looking for recommendations of good places to shoot.

Locations would have to be night friendly because of the current sunset times and also because I'm only there Monday morning till Friday afternoon.

I recall there being some decent beach shots to be had out near Cromer for star tracks etc because of the lack of light polution but all suggestions within an hours drive welcomed.

Cheers,

M

Can't be of much help regard to night shots, however Norwich could offer some good photo-ops with the floodlit Cathedral, Tombland, and waterways.
Here are some places not too far from Norwich. http://www.pbase.com/greymist/norfolk_england
If you go to Sheringham, I can recommend the Fish & Chips at Dave's Restaurant.
Enjoy your week,

Thanks.

I'm actually here for up to 3 weeks as part of my "I want a 2.8 / 4IS L spec (depending on look and feel)" Programme.

Must remember that when work is rather annoying...

Cow Tower around the river (end of Prince of Wales road, through the garden of the pub on the city side of the bridge - The Compleat Angler I believe it is oddly named -, follow the path) is quite nice around sunset but that's not exactly night time really.
I tried The Forum for a couple of night shots the other day but found the youths throwing bottles abit much ! YMMV. The top of St James Hill is good for pano night skyline shots. Even better of you can set up on top of your vehicle (I used to go there years ago when my partner of the time had a Transit van).
I'm planning Cromer on Valentine's Day. Not what Himself quite expected me to say when he asked where I'd like to go I imagine. :)
Enjoy your stay.
