I finally ordered my Sigma 70-200 from B&H today. I've been looking for a while and found a discount code the the "market watch" section. I almost ordered it on the spot, but called the wife first. She ordered it for my birthday (Superbowl Sunday) and it should be here sometime next week...
I'm more excited about the lens than I am about my birthday, but that makes sense since I've had a lot more birthdays than lenses.
A few weeks ago I took a picture of my youngest son with a friend sitting in the driveway, looking down the road. I'll post it here and title it "Waiting on Brown" since I know thats how I'll feel until it gets here.

I'm contemplating the same lens. Please post pictures and what you think of it. I'd be quite interested to hear.

Got me one a couple days ago. Been watching them on ebay for a while and havent caught one for under $500 yet. I finally snagged one off of what is called "craigslist" here in Dallas and the guy wanted $600 and sold it to me straight up for $500. with the hood also. He was a photography teacher and was upgrading to the Canon 70-210 L and was wanting to get rid of this lens. Lens was in perfect condition and looked brand new. I havent had a chance to shoot much with it because it has rained or snowed here for the last 3 days. Ya imagine that snow in Dallas, Texas. If I get to snap off some shots with it tomorrow I will stick them on here.

Snow in Dallas? It's in the 60-s here in Austin.
I checked the tracking for about the 5th time today and it's supposed to get here Thursday. I took Friday off and am gonna go looking for some duckies to shoot since I think it's required to be a member here.
The real test will be Saturday. My oldest (15) has a soccer game that I'm itching to shoot... If they turn out well, I'll post some of the pics. If they don't turn out so well, I'll be searching the forum to see what I did wrong...
