Saw some pretty amazing shots of a set on flickr which impressed me. I'm sure that the moment, (scene, time of day etc) is important but they just seem too good to be true. The colours are so vibrant

Are these just PP'd images that look this good? What effect do you think is being used here cause I'm sure these are not just "out of camera" shots?

People have posted comments asking for info but it is not forthcoming, photographers secret I guess.

Anyone know how these are done?

The images in the link are done using an HDR process, the image is heavily processed to get the range of colors, they did not come out of the camera that way. It takes lots of practice and the right software to do this.

Thanks so HDR is the first process to get all that range. Makes sense, seems very effective in decent light as well. What do you reckon, 4 maybe 6 shots to get the detail?

Then the PP after HDR merging? Saturation and curves maybe?

Are there any members of POTN that can do shots like these and be willing to provide a mini tutorial for others?

EDIT - Can someone move this to the RAW and PP forum please, I thing I posted in wrong area. Thanks.

Wow Pete, that first one isn't your site is it? Great info, that pier shot is another amazing shot! Thank you!

Ok so this weekend is a good one, in London UK, for some evening golden light stuff. I'm really getting into this, but am not a morning owl so evenings is where to start for me.

There is a "bit of luck" in getting this HDR suff right so just practice right? The vibrancy of colour though...is that the HDR process and saturation in PP? By vibrancy, I mean the richness of colour without the degredation of detail.
