Don't remember if I ever posted this here or not. If so, I apologize for the repeat. If not, please comment...
This is no flash, at night, overhead tungsten light only, ISO 3200 with my 5D, f/2.8, 1/320:

Very nice. It would also be nice if your title contained the name of the group and the name of the venue as well as the type of performance ... it is just easier to deal with that way.

I think I'm put off a bit by the softening, and the somewhat odd crop (half people in the back). Apart from that it's nice.
Got the version 'straight out of the camera'?

The ballet group is a pre-professional company called Ballet Etudes and they were performing with the Metropolitan Youth Symphony in the Mesa Amphitheater. I wasn't sure how to fit all that neatly into a title, but there you have it. :)

It's funny you mention the two things that you don't like about it. Of course it would be better if there were no people in the background cutoff, very tough with this large of a dance group and still get the main couple, which was my intention here. Because of the chopping of people in the background is why I further blurred the already in-camera blurred background (I was shooting f/2.8 )... to take more attention away from the background as well as to isolate the main dancers. The version right out of the camera is actually very close to this so I won't bother posting it. Other than a little more background blur I sharpened, boosted saturation slightly and tweaked the white balance. That is all.
how did you get the Glow from the subjects?
The 'extra' blur I added to the background added the 'Glow'. I did this by duplicating the background layer in Photoshop, added a gaussian blur to the copy layer, then using a layer mask painted the sharp main dancers back in which left the bacground blurred.
