First motorsport event of 2007 ;)

This morning I made my first visit to Goodwood Circuit for the South Downs Stages Rally. Quite a good turnout, seems the weather was much nicer than last year! I was only there for the morning runs.

Here's a few compressed "forum friendly sized" photos...

Great photos as always. What lens were you using for this one? (too lazy to look at the EXIF..)

Cheers. I started off using my 70-200 (first 20 shots) but I still can't get to grips with it properly so all these were with the 100-400 :)

what can't you get used to on the 70-200 mate?

Focus when tracking a moving object (car, bird etc) just doesn't seem so good - maybe it's me :p . I feel more confident getting results with the 100-400 which I've had for quite a while now.

If I go to the Sunseeker then I'll give the 70-200 another whizz. I'm bit tempted to sell it and get the F4 which I've heard many good things about - plus it's lighter and I should get a few pennies back.

Persevere. I recently sold the f/4 and replaced it with an f/2.8 IS USM. For what we do, the f/2.8 is better. My f/2.8 certainly outfocuses the old dust trombone (which I did use on Saturday).

Is this the 100-400mm f4.5-5.6 L USM IS ? Just checking to confirm my wishlist ;)

One of what, the 100-400mm f4.5-5.6 or the 70-200mm f2.8 that Cadwell mentions?

Incidently, are you able to guide me on the question I asked here http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=271846 last post on the thread about websites & calendars?

TIA :)
