Keywords and descriptions

I would normally know how to input meta descriptions and keywords onto the index.html page. however when I went to open up the index.php to do it. I thought twice about it and decided I should ask here before I screw up anything..

So, how is the best way to enter the keywords and descriptions for my site?

You can add meta keywords on the photo editor page, but I think when I tried it they also got added to the title tag as well

On second thoughts, are you meaning meta tags for each photo or meta tags for the main front page of the gallery (I now suspect the latter) For the gallery page itself I think you can just go to the style editor and add meta data to the head section. There's already some these so I can't see what harm it could do
