Hi there
I have got a Powershot A10 and like it a lot! Two friends want to buy the same camera, but the software "Zoombrowser" requires a 150 MHz Computer.
Both guys own only a 133 MHz PC.
My A10 came with software CD version 4.0.

Are there any earlier software versions available, which do work with a 133 MHz PC AND the A10 camera???

So the guys could start photographing now, and upgrade their PCs and Zoombrowser version later on.

Thanks for any help :-)

Andy

Is the requirement for a P150 or a P150 MMX? The MMX instruction set was pretty important for graphic intensive stuff. Still, you can always try it and see what happens. There's really no harm.

Most software requirements list a P150 MMX as the base CPU because (if I recall correctly), that was the lowest ever CPU to have MMX. Really though, as long as your computer has a working USB port, you should be fine.

Alternatively, you can pick up a compactflash adapter and just use that to transfer images to the computer. Then you don't need Zoombrowser at all.

Hi Russ, the manual only says PENTIUM 150 MHz.
Anyway, thanks for the informations! We´ll try to install my software on that old machine and see what happens.

Cheers, Andy
