Tell the fireman to stand back a little. A band, cable, or chain would not feel to good(high speed buzz saw). Nice pics though.

Yeah, what's the story behind these photos? Is it common for a fireman to park his truck and stand near the tracks in Toronto? haha
I like how the wind from the train blew the tassle on his hat from the side to the back of his head.

I guess trains are like the mail... never stop. Even when this building was billowing 5 square blocks of black smoke the trains were still flying through.
This was 72 hours after the start of the 5th alarm; putting out spot fires.
I grabbed the camera at dawn.

I've read stories about firemen having to lay their hoses across active rail lines while fighting fires only to have a train come through and cut the lines.
It looks mighty cold there.
