I like the first one better. You can barely see the plane in the second one and the birds are distracting.

The second one almost looks as if it is a ghost airplane flying with real birds.

I agree, the birds are distracting but add to the photo. The plane was entering the clouds that were only 300 feet high....Here you go with no birds.

You can barely see the plane in the second one and the birds are distracting. Well, I like it. There's no law that says that every shot has to be needle sharp with nice contrast? Keep pushing the limits & you'll get some more interesting images.

The first shot... Well grey is just grey. The second shot I find quite interesting.
Rules? How can you be a creative photographer and conform to rules?

Must be tough for the Tower controllers with a low ceiling like that. I like the 2nd.
