How do you carry this around at weddings? Do you put it on you waist using the belt loop, attach it to a flash bracket, or what? I put mine on my belt but end up fighting the cord all night long. Thanks

I use mine on my belt, it took a little to get used to, but now I hardly notice it there at all.

hmm..I don't wear a belt..so I wonder where I could put it? Do those of you who have this like it? Too bad you can't wrap it around something..like an arm or bag or something else you have to carry?

Mine stays in my back pocket without the case.

I don't have one of these (yet). But was wondering this. It uses 8 AA batteries, is that correct? Does Canon have anything like this that uses the batteries like the 10D, 20D, 30D & so on use? Seems like that would be much easier. They are rechargeable, higher voltage, could use 2 of those batteries in place of LOTS of AA batteries.

Yes it uses only AA batteries in it. I use some rechargable nimh batteries in them and it lasts a long time. Problem with the canon batteries is that they are Li-ion so they aren't optimal to use as a battery pack for flash use.

The only time I use mine is when I have an umbrella and 550EX mounted on a tripod, the CP-E3 speeds up the recycle time a LOT. The cord's too short to attach to my belt and reach my eye without becoming uncomfortable. There should be an easy way to mount it on the camera, if you don't have a grip you can screw it in, but if you have a grip it doesn't attach.

I thought I read in the instruction booklet that they don't recommend screwing it directly to the bottom of your camera body because of possible interference or something. I'll have to go back and re-read that.

I keep mine in my left front pocket so I can grab the chord when I need it. I unplug it when I know I won't be needing it and so far it that's worked the best for me. I have put it on a belt loop, but when I crouch or sit it can be uncomfortable.

I think I will stick with my batteries...I only have to change twice, so that is not too bad, and I can kinda time it out..we always start with fresh ones..

But, take a large pack with me no matter where I go...

I keep mine in my back left pocket - after a while you don't even know it's there

i wear mine on the belt. no tangles at all even with a second body+flash. you can also screw it to the bottom of your grip assuming you have a 20d/30d/xt.
