New to this forum. Looking for some needed advice.

I have an S30 that is about 2 years old. Absolutely love the camera. Today I noticed that I my CF card would not seat properly, and that I had a bent pin in the camera. I tried to straighten it out the pin, but ended up breaking it off (no surprise there).

Anyway, anyone have any idea what this could cost to fix. Is it worth fixing????

Wondering if bent / broken pins is common?

thanks in advance for the advice.

i think a repair is worth it because a S30 is a great camera.

bent pins is a fairly common problem because if you put your cf card in the camera and it's not straight enough you'll bent it.
i believe the S30 also supports microdrives?
if so then you can easy bent the pins because of the extra space in the cf unit.
cf units from camera's who don't support MD are smaller so it's not as easy to bent pins.
