Her eye is beautiful in both, but I'm really not keen on how the skin tones (especially just under the eye) came out in the first shot. Must try this with my wife - she has the most amazing blue eyes. Was this the kit lens + extension tubes?

Was this the kit lens + extension tubes?Yeah, the area under her eye became more and more...."nasty" as i processed the shot. oh well :)
Yes, these were taken a long time ago with the KIT LENS and 55mm worth of tubes. I haven't had any new pictures lately....so i just go through old ones and mess around in PS!

Very interesting, I had thought my eye was unique in the way it had the stuff on the inside. Looks like a little bit of photoshopping yeah?

Just goes to show that even cheap lenses are capable of amazing images, within their limitations, and with some creativity!

Very nice shots, especially like #2, which is better compositonally wise I think. Out of curiousity, I noticed the mouse logo at the bottom right hand corner, and your nickname, are you a rodent lover by any chance?

DaveThanks for the comment! To answer your question, i am IN NOW WAY a rodent lover :lol: Skweekie (Squeaky) is just a nickname i went by all the way back in the 6th grade that i stuck with. It started out as an email address....then screen name...then Myspace name....then blah blah :)
As for choosing Skweekie as my "photography name"... My real name is Adam Brown, but every single name was already taken (adambrownphotography | abrownphoto | abphoto etc.) so i figured why not pick my nickname that is most likely NOT taken, especially because of my spelling!
Thats pretty much it.
P.S. As for the logo thing, i was inspired by the "Show us your business card" thread here on POTN, by so many people with fancy logo's and catchy slogans.....so i figured I'd make myself a logo...and came up with the mouse (or RAT to some people;) )
