Miss LA Chinatown Beauty Pageant

I was invited to help cover this event. I figured i can use the practice shooting a lit stage environment from a distance. Initially I used the 17-85, but I needed to get closer so I switched to the 70-300 on a monopod from the back of the ballroom. I managed to get these pics. I'd like your C & C for my next opportunity to cover an event like this. Thanks, Don.

Nice shots! a but soft for the most part, but i can imagine how hard it was to capture these, what with all the motion going on!

I understand how hard it is with motion, but at least you're practicing!
