I'm posting this on behalf of my sister, who's had trouble with excess moire recently in her digital photography (Canon EOS 10D, FYI).

How do you get rid of chromatic moire in Photoshop 7? She's had a lot of problems with this, particularly in her subject's hair (she's starting a portrait photography business). I know there are a set of Actions you can buy SOMEWHERE on the internet, but does anyone here know of step-by-step instructions on how to get rid of moire in an image?

Thanks much!

Are you sure the problem is moire? The 10D is famed for its clean images. Could it be a lens problem? Or something that is showing up on her monitor but not in print? Just trying to rule out other possibilities. I shoot mostly portraits and do not have a similar problem.

Anyway, here's a link to one product that says it removes moire, though it's not free:

Best of luck,

correct me if im wrong, but didnt the raw plug in for ps7 have a "de-moire" option???
I might be wrong, but I know ive seen it somewhere. I also think C1 has an optional plug in to do this when you install it.

my memory is so bad  I need new DDR installed in my brain

There is an action that you can buy/download at www.fredmiranda.com that is supposed to handle this. I haven't tried this one but I do have some of his other stuff and they seem to work pretty well.
