Well, UK ones are going after according the rumors; so it has some sense, the time schedule start to be coherent. Which is your source? Can we trust it? :cool: :cool:

The UK event is a briefing for dealers. I spoke to several people to confirm this and they were curious about the timing - but the UK Focus show starts on Sunday the 25th and I'm sure lots of the bigger dealers want to be able to pass info on to people. According to the info on Focus, Canon are -not- listed as an exhibitor.

Interesting thing. I talked to the same canon employee today and he seemed like no news until actual PMA when I asked when are we going to hear any news.. It was also interseting how he answered my other question too... Should I wait? he made a vague reference to no price drop, then another to "better deal" in a couple of weeks, followed by, "If I were you I'd just wait" then he nervously hung up the phone on me... (remember regional pre PMA sales meeting was monday and tuesday of this week)

Check this weekend or begining of next week in Canon sites/Press if there are new announcements.
Count down has started, may be next week we have the waited news available (all rumors spot on it).

BTW: That īs we are doing since some time, so we are still waiting for something official or a real leak info. :) :) :)

As far as CES 2007 is concerned, when I spoke to Canon folks, they said if Canon has anything new coming out (speaking of new SLR's) they will announce it 2nd week of March.

Yes it is, and the rumors say that it will be announced two new bodies to be available in a few weeks and a third one to be available past the middle/end of the year !!

There are many opinions about this, the pool is around 1D MkIII & 40D first and 1Ds MkIII after; but also I have read other prognostics. The most likely winner now is the 1D Mk III (logical also in tha Canon schedule time replacement line), thatīs the bet horse at the moment .... in four days (I hope) we shall know the answer. Also lastly are rumors about the Canon incursion in the MF segment (for me justify then the rumors about a new mount + new lens line).
