After seeing racketman's post http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=272073&highlight=splash (those are awesome btw), here is my humble/unworthy attempt at making some of my own. :D

I think using cream instead of non-fat milk may have created some better "crown" effects. Although clicking the shutter at the right time would still be an issue. These were taken w/ my 30d, on camera flash, and my 50 f1.8 (at f/11-16) with Quantary closeup filters (I'm sure those killed my DOF, particularly in the 1st pic).

I have a set of Kenko tubes coming in the mail... with those and maybe a home made lightbox?, I hope to get some better macro results with the 50!

Anway, here they are... it was fun to try. :)

C&C welcome!

Thanks! Glad you like them. That's what I got from about 200 shots or so... I was holding a water bottle (milk dripper) over the coffee cup in my right hand and pressing the remote shutter button w/ my left. :)
