Hi everybody,
has anyone of you guys experienced both the 70-200 (non IS) 2.8 and the canon 200mm 2.8 L II prime for a shaprness comparison at 200mm? it's known that prime lenses are always sharper compared to zoom lenses for a same focal lenght. but is it applicable for the so well reputated 70-200 2.o as well?
regards
Kh

I don't have direct expeirience with the 200mm f/2.8 prime,. but I can say this,. I know oif very few people who have left this particular zoom behind for that particular prime.. In fact the market for the 200mm f/2.8 prime is pretty slim. So my guess is that the difference is not so huge in this case (also .. a lot of people say the 70-200mm is one of the best zooms made)

Now,. if you compare the Zoom to the 200mm f/1.8... well that's a different story alltogether.. :)
