Hey all,
Well I want to go to a zoo but I dont know any good ones in the UK, I mean good like, good opportunitys for photos, and good range of different animals. Dont mind traveling for a good day out:p

Since you're in Birmingham, wait for Easter, and then go to the West Midlands Safari Park, between Kidderminster and Bewdley. They have lots of animals, plus a fun fair. There is also an operational steam railway (the Severn Valley) on the border of the park, so you can get trains going past, which makes for interesting photos.

Check out South Lakes Wildlife park

it's well worth a look, the only problem we found was that there were limited places to sit. Mainly because some animal was asleep on the seats! You walk round the different sections and in a lot of them there are no bars or fencing so you have lemurs and red panda's walking across the path in front of you.

depends on how far your willing to travel?? newquay zoos quite good and pretty cheap. also chester zoo bit more expensive also have you thought about safari parks ie longleat etc

Although I haven't been for a few years Chester Zoo always gets good reports. Plenty of photogenic monkeys and orang-utans amongst other things.

Thanks for the replies, WIll try a few of them. South Lakes Wildlife park looks very intersting.
