One of the frequent questions asked here is how do I get that start and sustain it. I happened to run across the site in the link below. I read a couple of the links and they seemed to be pretty common sense directions that are given. I hope it will be of some value to those that are still looking for that start or those that need some inspiration for staying at it.

As I said above, I only read a couple of the links so I don't necessarily endorse this, that is for each to decide.

I think a major turning point is just deciding to make that move to be a professional or semi-professional, or whatever. Once you decide you want to make money at photography, really decide it, then it's all about your own personal drive to make it all work.

I've only been doing it and turning a profit in the last 4 months or so, and I look back when I was trying to figure out how to make it happen and I realized the only real difference was my overall mindset. I was always looking for the answer or asking someone else instead of trying to just make my way at it. Once I did that, it all sort of clicked....

Not to kind of turn this thread into a when did you make the move kind of thing, but it might be interesting to know how the more seasoned pro's view this...
