Wow :)
Different forum software was used then too (tForum where now it is vBulletin). Back then I was using photo.net forum (don't miss it) and didn't even know of this site yet.
Glad Pekka has more traffic and his site has grown fantastically in many ways (so has Canon DSLR's  ). :)

PS. Pekka if you read this how was switching the software and when did it happen? <-- just curious :)

I kinda like the colors. I would have loved to have read some of the posts but the few I clicked on came up empty.

Yeah it's cyclical.

"What lens for [insert current entry level camera body here]?"
"I'm new to sports. Is my [insert current entry level camera body here] good enough?"
"I'm new to weddings. How do I set aperture on my [insert entry level camera body here]? And what lens do I need?"

Wow, after looking at that I really want a McDonald's Big Mac - in the Styrofoam container.

Same here. I joined about 8 months after that snapshot was taken. I hazily remember what the site looked like then. I used stay at photo.net all the time, but this is my favorite place now.

I find it interesting that pekka seemed a large topic in the talk about photography forum a large portion of the thread names had his name in it.

Other than that I think that its a cool look back on the forum and lets us remember our roots! (then again I am a history geek/major)

It happened twice. He switched from tForum to phpBB, but I don't remember exactly when. In December 2004 he converted it to vBulletin.

I tried to reply to some of the threads, but unfortunately they appear to be closed... :-(
