Hi All,

If i shoot in RAW format should i set a adobe 1998 colour space?
Or does it simply not matter since the photos are RAW and i should set a colour space in photoshop.

The lab where i am going to get my photos for print have given me an ICC profile, should i use this as my colour space for optimal printing results?

Thanks in Advance.

In your previous post on this forum, Roger Cavanagh replied that your questions were too large for short answers. He suggested you visit his website: www.rogercavanagh.com . Good advice!

Same with this question. You're confusing ICC profiles with the so-called photoshop (PS) "color working space" which can have the same name as some color profiles (e.g. sRGB and Adobe RGB 1998).

You assign an ICC profile during RAW processing. You'll probably use this profile name as your working color space in PS. When time comes to print, you may assign another profile to the image that is compatible with the printer and its media. See articles on color management in PS at http://www.computer-darkroom.com/home.htm .
