Figured I'd start a new topic instead of it being buried in an old one...

Mark (MDJAK), myself, and possibly sumozebra are heading to Barryville, NY this Saturday morning.

We'll be meeting at the Eagle Institute/Zane Grey Museum @ 10:30 a.m.

We'll be there for a few since that's where I found the first birders when I first went there a couple of weeks ago. Then we'll probably head west/northwest up the Lackawaxen river
on Rte 590.

Man, oh man, what a bunch of dead heads in the northeast.

Trying to get something together here and all two of us are going.

Well, be jealous, you people, very jealous, as Tom and I have the bald eagles all to ourselves.

cya, wouldn't want to be ya

Dudes, it's 10:15p.m. here where I am in PA. I was through Barryville a couple of weeks ago and heard there were Eagles in the area. Maybe I can wake up early enough and trek up there.

Lehigh is a bit of a haul....but cool!

We'll be within the general vicinity
for the late morning into lunch....not
more than about 10 miles from the
Zane Grey Museum if we head up
the Lackawaxen...

I'm thinking about hitting Mongaup
towards late afternoon as the Eagle
Institute said that the eagles go
back to roost there for the evening...

You can say that again. I took over 200 shots, probably 170 of the eagles, and they all sucked.

In this case, nothing short of 500mm or more would suffice.

Oh well, I had a great time and a HUGE thanks to Tex a/k/a Master Po for his hospitality and guidance throughout the day.

Oh man, I cannot believe I missed this!!!! I would definitely have been in. I had absolutely nothing to do today either, and typically my weekends are booked with kid activities.

Well...ya snooze ya looze!

We had scantilly clad women serve us lunch, then we had imported Geishas at the ready with decorated heated stones for when we got cold...

They even held their hands over our ears while we were shooting....

Man...you should have seen the look on the other photogs and birders.....

Eegads, do I look old, tired and cold, or what?

I'm contacting my attorneys, Do We Cheat'em and How immediately. They will be serving you with an immediate summons demanding removal of those pictures of me.
