IMO The B&W version is better, but the top she is wearing is a little blown out. I would prefer to see hear wearing something a little darker.
Just my 2 cents...
Keep up the good work :D

I like the B&W better but the top is a distraction, needs toning down in PS

Well, if I'd give the B&W 10 out of 10 I'd give the color one a 4.
The B&W looks like whoa.. nice... and the color one, it's like, I see you calling a model, say stand there, put your hands on your head, yeah, that's it baby, nah nah don't smile, click... get it? It looks posed, maybe a little unnatural, ordinary. The B&W has (much more) impact, the girl actually looks um.. well, blacker. Also I slightly agree on the too-bright-shirt-thingie issue, it's a tad too bright, not much though.

I agree, the black and white is spectacular

B&W gets my vote as well. Same comment that the top needs to be darker. Nice shot.

Yep! B&W for me too! :) But the color one is not all that bad. I like it! Her skin tone...

My first thought was color, since it did better justice to her skin. But then I noticed the difference in the eyes. Somehow they are much more present in the B&W. I end up preferring B&W in this case.

I prefer the black and white one. Somehow her skin just looks much smoother.

The B&W looks better, but that's because the color picture is washed-out, 1 stop overexposed and doesn't have enough contrast.
I played with the the color picture and done right it is better.

Thanks for the suggestions all.
I agree I like the b&W better too.
Msol,
Your right about her expression it seems very flat in the color version.
The yellow top does need to be toned down, maybe I will fix it if I get around to it.
Mwinog27,
No not overexposed but I definately tweeked up the curves but that was the look I was going for. Color high contrast pictures of female models are usually not very flattering. I am however curious to see it done "right", as you put it, so let's see it.

I stand corrected. Too contrasty for me but definately a color cast.
I'm still not crazy about your tone, a bit arrogant for me, but you have a point.
I'll go easy on you on this time.

Sorry, but the color is not even close to as good as the b&w.

B&W has more impact for me.
The color one is also nice, but it doesnt have the extra "umph".
good shot.
