Looking for a bag for when I'm out and about and wonder if this will take a 10D with battery pack

It is good enough for the 10d with a 28-135 lense and also some more stuff in it.

Yes it will! I debated over this backpack and the mini trekker myself. It will even hold my canon 100-400 lens, 550 flash, and a couple more lenses.
Anyway, just got mine a few days ago, haven't had a chance to use it yet though as my little schnauzer was in a nasty dog fight and needs pretty much all day attention after his surgery.

Is that the 10D+battery grip + lens ?
The bag is shown as being 5" deep, yet the 10D+grip is 6" :?

Yes it fits just fine, it bulks it out a bit but not so much that it's a problem. I think somewhere else on the board that same question was asked regarding the minitrekker plus battery pack, and the person who owned the mini trekker was happy with the fit as well, they have the same interior depth of 5 inches.

I bought a red one from Onecall.com just last week, along with some other things. It's really bigger than I thought it was. It will surely hold a lot, but the 10D fits in it rather lopsidedly in my opinion. In fact, I am thinking of trying something else. A camera with the lens more in the center of the body would work better in this back I think. Its very nice and of great quality though.

I bought the new Canon backback that is on the market now, it holds my 10d with big ed, a 75-300 lens, Canon Rebel Ti 35mm with a 28-90 lens attached and 3 other lens and a veriety of film extra batteries and everything else I think I might need....Roz Cox

Yup. I have the micro and a mini. Great, small backpacks. I have to upgrade though...

I had the mini, when full with all the stuff I might have needed I could hardly lift it.....maybe I should start going to the gym ;-)
