At the risk of being 'flamed' in the light of recent posts re 'L' lenses, by way of explanation/introduction I have, today, ordered my final (probably!) 'L' lens to add to my outfit. It's the 100-400L IS and I should have it by Friday! (can't wait!)

Anyway, now I have the lenses I set out to change over to from my Powershot G5/G2/G1 days, I reckon it's about time to share my interest and its images a bit wider than my local area via the camera club network. I aim to place some of my images on a suitable web site and have noted that many members of this wonderful forum use a variety of sites.

So, I would be grateful for your opinions and suggestions.

Cheers,
Barry (one 'L' of a guy  )

If you are just looking for image storage without much fanfare. I have tried 2 different ones.

www.pbase.com you can take a trial membership but you cannot do direct links until you become a "supporter". They are not terribly expensive.

www.photobucket.com Works pretty much the same way but you can direct link before you pay them anything.

There are many out there and I'm sure that you'll get more responses where the photographer in question is more than happy with their current placement. For me, I am sticking with pbase for the time being.

I use my own webserver. 120 gig of space, 700 gig of bandwidth per month, and it's free.

Well, since I have to pay Comcast anyway...

I think pbase.com is pretty good - been using it for 4 months with no problems.

No pop-ups which is a REAL plus - especially when showing pictures to potential clients.
