EDIT: Music samples can be heard at MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/quantumholocaust (note: very heavy stuff - not everybody's cup of tea).

Intense! Not sure about #2, but #1 and 3 are brilliant!

I checked out their myspace page... looks like they could use some of your pics. Do you generally make any money off these gigs?

I think this set is stellar by the way.... but you already know that. ;)

Very Artsy, Karl-Mikael! I really like #1 even though cropped a bit tight, eh? :-)

(note: very heavy stuff ...).

Just looking at your pictures, I'd come to the conclusion that this guy wasn't doing Barry Manilow covers. :D Rene used the word I would have used - intense. When I look at #1 I feel like I can almost hear him. I think it's that super tight crop centering the mouth & mic, along with the angle that conveys the intensity of the music. Very nice.

Second look: I think #2 is cropped a bit to owide: You could loose a bit left and top.
I like the pics better then the music. Thank god for earplugs

Well, kind of. I have done "heavy metal portraits" before (for instance: 1 (http://kuvat.huumakuva.net/albums/userpics/10002/_MG_8990.jpg), 2 (http://kuvat.huumakuva.net/albums/userpics/10002/_MG_7403.jpg)), but after Pekka's thread I thought I'd start doing them more regularly (things have gotten wider and wider for me lately :)). However, most of the "inspiration" for these came from the crappy lighting (quality-wise, from photography point of view). I thought that anything wider would just look bad and since the singer stayed relatively still when "singing" the intensive parts, I photographed basically just these close-ups. I'm sure that the close-ups are better than anything other I could have done that night.
