I've noticed several sites (found using pricegrabber.com) that have the DRebel for around $900 - Most of them have positive reviews and user ratings, but I wondered if there is any reason I should be suspicious of this retailers.
Here is one such site: http://www.infinity-micro.com/prodLG.jsp?fap=pgbr&prodId=f9a4f34814.1
Also, is anyone familiar with the Phillips-Magnavox extended warranty plan offered here: http://www.infinity-micro.com/information/warrantyPOP.jsp. It looks good from their little pop-up ad, but I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with it (or other extended warranties that they might recommend). Thanks.

B&H has them for $899.95, in stock. I can't see taking a chance to save a few bucks.

Let's not mix up the price of the body alone versus the price of the body plus the kit lens.

Good point. The original post was with lens, my B&H post was without lens.
From the sounds of one of the reviewers who ordered a digital camera, he got a "generic Olympus box" which sounds like an International, rather than US, warranty piece. That may be part of the reason for the low price.
But the reviews didn't sound good in any case.

Thanks so much - I will not be ordering from these guys... You got my hopes up with the $899 from B&H - until I realized it was body only...
I will keep watching. Thanks again.

check out this blurb copied from resellers.com.
"Attention Infinity Micro: Preview all new customer reviews 48 hours before they ever appear to the public. With our Premium Edge package, you'll be able to screen new customer reviews 48 hours before the public sees the reviews and before they factor into your rating scores. Use that valuable time to contact the customer to resolve complaints, since customers can edit their reviews and survey responses at any time. Or, flag a review for us to consider removing under our policies, and we'll add a priority status to your flagged reviews, process your request, and make a decision about the reviews within 48 hours."
Interesting. I wonder how many negatives have been removed due to "policy" in favor of the crooks?
