Well shot my friends band (http://www.myspace.com/serenityofficial) again at the local battle of the bands heats (which they won incidently) Taken on the critisims of my previous posts, using different AF point to allow better framing, cropped a bit tighter, didnt blow any channels too badly, so what do you think?

This event was organised by the local paper so they had one of their photogs along, judging by the pictures on their gallery (last 4 pics here (http://www.thisisplymouth.co.uk/displayNode.jsp?nodeId=226767&command=newPage&SlideshowId=52573)) I think mine are compareable with his, now if only i could get paid like him and have all his kit (a huge range of big lenses, slight lens envy was had as I only had my little Sigma 30mm f/1.4!, although all his kit was nikkon, lol!!) :D

I think these look pretty good. I like the first one the best. The one thing that jumped out at me was that the 1st 4 pictures are very similar as far as composition - full body shot of a guy with a guitar. Would be nice to show a little variety. I know from experience that sometimes this can be easier said than done especially with limited space to move and shooting with a prime. But just something to keep in mind.

yeah if I had 2.8 zoom of some sort, it would've been ideal as this venue actually has light!!! but at the moment I only have access to my 30mm or a 10-20 (too slow really) as my brother (aka lens library) has moved to prauge!

Some nice moments & framing (I like 1 and 3), but if possible, correct the blown highlights (all images have them)
