Where to buy a new original 1D?

Are the old 1D's out of stock everywhere? I would like to buy a new 1D(not Mark II) Well, of course I'd like a Mark II, but I can only afford an old one. I also need it now.

The 1D was discontinued in December,. finding one new is very unlikely,. (I know I've been looking)

Used ones are selling on E-bay between $2400-3100

I would think your best bet is finding one on a store shelf somewhere.. but I had no luck with that tactic either.

Adorama recently had it back on there site for only $2500.00!!! But they only listed it,. they didn't actually have any ??? :roll: No one really seems to know what that meant.

Of course I would be interested. We would have to work out some way to trust each other. I see them on ebay too. I use ebay alot, but for such an expensive and important item, ... it makes me nervous.

Why do you want to get rid of it?

What was the store that had one more? Do they have a website?
