Cool shots, looks like you have some dust though (second shot right side).

I’ve travekked to Dallas, but unfortunately at the time I wasn’t into photography, so I don’t have anything to show for it.

Yeah, this is actually the wrong forum but that's okay. So, let's assume this is in the critique area. What's with the crooked street sign right in the middle of the photos? That totally ruins what would be an otherwise "ok" photo.

Photo 1's horizon is also off several degrees to the right and you should have been on the other side of the bridge to shoot this. There's too much clutter in the foreground for the viewer to actually enjoy the city lights.

You need to work on your composition. Always keep an eye on your foreground and background for distracting items in the scene. Some you can deal with late and just crop them out, but with these shots the bridge and sign really clutter up both photos.

Got it to work - very nice. What camera/lens were you using?
